Laff Til Ya Fart presents comedy lovers with a stellar line-up with some of the best of the UK’s Black comedy circuit including Marlon Davis, Annette Fagon and Slim with Clayton Jones as MC.
About the performers:
Slim
Slim is one of the UK’s biggest stand-up stars and the undisputed king of the Black British comedy circuit. Physical, ebullient and unashamed for, his multi-award winning 20-year career has seen him perform for thousands all over the world.
His popular and all embracing brand of humour is generous, smart and bursting with infectious energy. He’s toured the world extensively including the whole of Europe, Barbados, Jamaica, Qatar, the Falklands Islands, and Dubai and even performed at the N.A.T.O Headquarters in Belgium.
He’s sold out several smash-hit tours, including the Hackney Empire numerous times over. Slim has also supported several high-profile US acts including Kevin Hart. In 2021 he recorded his latest hit stand-up special Slim: Live at the Palladium.
Slim was also the first Black British act invited to perform at the Hollywood Comedy Store
Annette Fagon
The Best Northern Black Comedy Queen, Annette was nominated as Best Newcomer at the 2006 Black Entertainment Comedy Awards, and has appeared at numerous leading comedy clubs around the country, i.e, The Glee, The Comedy Store, The Frog and Bucket and is a regular crowd pleaser at Manchester’s Women’s Comedy Festival, her raw truthful style resonates with her audiences up and down the country, people have cried with laughter
Marlon Davis
Marlon Davis is a talented comedian, improviser and actor whose recent TV appearances include BBC’s Live At The Apollo & Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live, and Comedy Central’s Comedy Store Live & Chris Ramsey’s Stand Up Central.
Beginning his career in stand-up comedy in 2005, Marlon Davis made the final of two national competitions Laughing Horse and So You Think You’re Funny at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival the following year, very quickly and firmly cementing his status as a rising star on the comedy circuit.
Marlon has supported Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntyre and Alan Carr on tour and is performing at clubs, arts centres and theatres all over the UK. Marlon’s act is inspired by his upbringing, exploring urban Britain and tackling its social issues with skilful characterisations.
Clayton Jones (MC)
Clayton has been performing comedy since 2013 and has established himself as a regular on the UK comedy circuit including shows at the Edinburgh Festival and Leicester Comedy Festival alongside appearances at all the top comedy clubs.
He is an observational comedian with a hilarious take on everyday life with very cleverly crafted comedy. Clayton’s act covers everyday topics of marriage, kids, being mixed race, school life and living in Wigan!
