Welcome HOME: What to expect when you visit

Please note that the situation is changing regularly – please check back here before your visit to make sure you have the most up-to-date information.

Last updated: 22 Nov 2022

As we have done throughout the pandemic, HOME will continue to operate with staff, audience, and artists’ wellbeing as our priority, and ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable when visiting.

What we’re doing to keep you safe

  • Our staff will continue to follow isolation guidance if positive with Covid-19.
  • There is ventilation in all our spaces.
  • Hand sanitiser will still be available.

Please do not visit us if you are unwell or have tested positive for Covid-19. If you have any questions about your tickets, please contact our Box Office on 0161 200 1500.

We remain fully accessible – you can find all our access information online here

You’re free to choose your own table in the café bar and will be allocated a table in our restaurant.

There is no longer a limit on how many people can book a table together.

Service in the cafe will be available either from the bar or table service in our restaurant.

HOME is complying with REHVA Covid-19 Guidelines on HVAC systems; this means we do not recirculate air in our spaces. Our systems have been amended to only use an external air supply and from the filter replacement perspective, normal maintenance procedures can be used.

Keeping your hands clean and avoiding touching your face are two of the best defences against Covid-19. We have installed hand sanitiser stations around the building, and ask visitors to use them as well as washing their hands thoroughly and regularly.

If you have symptoms of Covid-19 or test positive, please do not visit HOME. You can find more information about the symptoms of coronavirus on the NHS website.

If a booker or a member of a booker’s household is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms customers must inform the Box Office no later than 8pm the day before the relevant event. The Box Office will then credit accounts with the full amount of the order to be used on another event within one year or exchange the tickets to another screening/event.

We’re encouraging all visitors to book online in order to minimise contact at our Box Office. Even in the building, we’re encouraging people to book on their mobile phones if they can do so.

Tickets will be available to book online ahead of your visit, with new events available to book as we have the details confirmed. By booking online, not only do you minimise contact and help keep everybody safer, but you ‘ll also guarantee a space as events may sell out. You’ll be able to see which seats are available for your group at the online checkout.

If you cannot book online, please use contactless payment at the Box Office if possible in order to minimise hand-to-hand contact.

The chance of infection increases the closer you are to people, so we are asking visitors to try to give each other as much space as possible when moving around our spaces and if queuing.

Please keep your hands clean by washing them regularly or using our hand sanitiser stations which have been installed around the building.

We will have tickets available to buy at Box Office, but we are encouraging visitors to book online in advance of their visit in order to keep everyone safe. For socially distanced events with a reduced number of tickets available, there is an increased chance of events selling out, and so advance booking ensures that you will be able to get a ticket for your preferred event.

We remain committed to accessibility for our visitors. The lifts are available for customers who need to use them.

Accessible routes will be clearly marked, and you can read more about how we make HOME accessible by clicking here.

If you are concerned by someone’s behaviour during your visit, please speak to a member of staff who will look into it for you, and take action if necessary. Our staff have been trained in how to deal with this situation – they are happy to help.

If a refund is requested this will be processed within 14 days.

The exception is if a booker or a member of a booker’s household is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or tests positive, customers must inform the Box Office no later than 8pm the day before the relevant event. The Box Office will then credit accounts with the full amount of the order to be used on another event within one year or exchange the tickets to another screening/event.
